*nods* It's painful to watch him struggle, to see the potential rift between him and Dean. Poor Sammy.

Thank you for reading.

The way you worked in the prompts was nothing short of brilliant. I never connected the date of Mary and Jessica's death with Dia de los Muertos before. So I was entertained, and learned something at the same time. *g* Back to the theme, I love love love the way you worked the Day of the Dead customs through the fic. The mental visual of Sam kneeling at the grave with Dean, and Castiel lurking in the background shadows is haunting and beautiful. The entire fic is breathtaking from the maddening pallor of sadness, to the confusion over faith, and the understandable anger. The little details like Sam cleaning the non-existing dirt off her grave, to Castiel's advise, gives the fic an exquisite sense of emotion and grace. I think my favorite part is actually the end with the amulet, Sam wondering about Castiel, and in the end the threesome walking away. The description of Castiel being like a fluttering presence behind them is awesome. I love what you did with the prompts, thank you for writing this. *snugs*

*glee* I'm thrilled that you liked this! :) And I'm sorry it took so long to work on your prompts (although I did start a J2 based on a different prompt, back in August... maybe I'll finish it before next August). Same here--the connection between the dates didn't hit me until last week's episode when Uriel brought it up. All Soul's Day as well. That Kripke is one clever little imp. *g*

Thank you, for everything. ♥

lol! I look forward to seeing it whenever it gets finished. *g* That's really neat. Kripke, or whomever put that together, is quite clever indeed. You are always welcome. <3

He certainly is, as well as the other writers. I guess that comes with the territory when you're mad evil geniuses. ;)

*hugs*

He broke my heart into pieces in the last episode, especially when Dean walked in on him.

Thank you for reading. :)

Sam doesn’t jump when a hand closes over his shoulder. He’s used to being saved from this, pulled out of the hell that follows him everywhere.

I love this echo of how Castiel saved Dean.

Beautiful and heartbreaking.
