So I could really, really use some distraction. Um. I went to the midnight showing of Order of the Phoenix Tuesday night and never got around to typing up a reaction, so... guess I'll ramble on about that.

Ugh, that sucks. :/

Ginny had an excellent badass moment in the film. I think they could have shown more of her, really, but hopefully we'll see more of her in the next movie.

Unfortunately, I have to skip past your HP review, because I've only seen half of the first one! So yeah, I have lots of catching up to do.

And it always makes me smile when I see you use that Neville icon. ♥

I hope you have a good time at the Decemberists (with an orchestra!) show. It's understandable that you're not as excited about it, considering recent events. *hugs* I hope that once you are there, you'll have a good time though. You deserve to. <3

I hope you get to check them out sometime. The first two are lovely, but after that, they really get even better (okay, and darker... but darker is good, IMHO).

Aw, I just love that Neville icon! It's one of my all-time favorites. :)

Thanks, hon. <3 The Decemberists have a way of enchanting their audience from the word go, so I'm hoping that'll be the case here. I'd be a fool not to have fun!
*hugs tightly*

*nods* It's a lot to take in, isn't it? And I thought it might be easier with this being the first time I read the book before seeing the film... so much for that! *g* I look forward to reading your thoughts, hon (and I apologize if you've posted them already... I've much catching up to do, though it's a poor excuse).

Rupert's such a sweetheart, isn't he? :) I love that he has an ice cream truck... and Craig teasing him was too hilarious.

Thanks, darling. It was wonderful! Wish you could have been there. ♥

Love you very much. xoXOxo

saw it wednesday at 7:30 showing....thought it was a good movie if you didn't read the books...but, many things were not in the movie that i really wanted non readers to know. ie the Neville storyline and Tonks and ...and...and what was with the juggular nightmare shots...one too many imho. artsy, but, enough was enough. i pictured the scenes so differently.

but, that being said. Still good and i won't check out another book from the library until i've read HP7!

***PLEASE Ms. Rowling, Make it worth the wait! Make Snape come through for the side of good. Make Neville as strong as Harry. Let Ron find out how much he has to offer the world. Help Hermoine to continue to understand those that don't think quite like her.
...ugh. so much i want to know!

Actually, I'm really curious as to whether it would be watch-able (yes, I'm sure that's a word!) for people who haven't read the books... it seemed as though many of the plot points were breezed over so quickly, you'd need to have read it to understand what you were seeing. I'm hoping we get more of Tonks in the next movie. And Neville... there can never be too much of him (and there was a lot left out here, but I'm trying not be too bothered by it).

and what was with the juggular nightmare shots

Exactly! I kept wondering if he was going to sprout gills or something.

LOL Ditto all of that. Please don't go killing any of our beloved characters either. Harry *must* be safe, right? But all the others.... *chews fingernails* Is it Saturday yet??

I'm really glad to see a post from you. I've been thinking about you and your mom since your last post. I got the feeling you wanted some alone time so I didn't send an email or anything. I hope I wasn't wrong about that. But I do want you to know I've had you and your family in my thoughts and I hope you're all doing okay. *big hugs*

No, you weren't wrong, hon. And thank you... that means a lot to me, a lot more than I can put into words. Things have been all right... busy, since there's a lot to take care of, cleaning up her apartment and everything. I'm kind of worried about how it will be once everything calms down and my mom's back to her normal routine, except that it won't be normal without visits to her mother anymore. *sigh* I guess we'll just wait and see. Anyway, I'm starting to ramble, so.... *hugs tightly*
