• I just listened to Pottercast #69 for the second part of their interview with Matt Lewis, who offers some insight into the whole Horrible Harry Potter Hair epidemic as seen in recent Order of the Phoenix images. ( the problem of painful HP hair )
so...okay...not only did they shear them, but they sheared them for no reason! *weeps* where the hell was quality control?! that hairstylist should be drawn & quartered.
Oh nono, there was a reason... the hairdresser had an idea! *rolls eyes* Yeesh. What kind of multi-million dollar franchise hands scissors to an underling and says, "here, have at it"?
you have tackled two subjects of great interest to me. oh sigh, the (previously) lovely lovely long hair. it's really appalling to think of them suffering this trauma (not to mention us). surely film is all about making things prettier than they are supposed to be (to whit hermione granger), why develop principles, and such unspeakable ones, at this late stage? but i mustn't go on - i've been trying to reconcile...
secondly, viggo with puppies. this is a conjunction that should probably be banned for all future occasions. *clutches self painfully*

Clearly, they care more about the canon than us. Although, Dan's coif looks incredibly tamed in the promo pics, quite against canon. So it looks like this latest director prefers to entertain the whims of a scissor-happy hairdresser rather than entertain the whims of possibly perverse fans. The nerve.
Agreed. Viggo + animals in general could fell a nation, or more. *nods*
Some women might squee over Viggo holding a baby. Not me. But Viggo holding PUPPIES?! OMG. :D
Glad you got the second season of Carnivale! The second season is SO much better than the first. I was literally on the edge of my seat for every episode. I won't say anything about the finale other than HOLY SHIT. They so need to tie things up properly!
It still has one of the best opening sequences of any television series, perhaps tied with Six Feet Under.
LOL, definitely. If more pretty actors were paired with animals in photos, there would death, death across the globe. *grin* Oh dear, there aren't any pics of Johnny with kitties or puppies, are there? *meep*
Really? That's a relief. I was so worried the second season might not hold up to the first, especially since they canceled the series after that season... not that networks, even HBO, know what the hell they're doing, the twits.
I can't think of any Johnny photos with animals offhand, but now I have a sudden need to find out! The first image that comes to mind though is the scene in Edward Scissorhands with the dogs. But not sure if there are any of Johnny himself with any animals... must find out. :)
Oh, in my opinion, the second season FAR surpasses the first. It was so good. I guess that wasn't enough for HBO to keep it though since it had terrible ratings. Bah. :/
Ever since then, I've been bugged by a vague memory of a pic with Johnny and a dog, not from a movie but with Johnny possibly wearing a plaid shirt.... Hrmm. Or maybe I've gotten into Locke's wacky paste without realizing it!
You know what's funny is I never thought HBO had to worry about ratings like regular network tv. Of course, that's silly of me to've thought that way, but it seemed like the whole point of premium channels like that was to buck the system completely. *sigh* Last night, I watched the second episode. Dude, the tattoo! Freaky shit. (And I can't imagine someone tapping the ink into your skin. *squirms* I mean, okay, it's essentially the same thing in modern tattoo shop, but sooo much faster.)
Viggo + puppies should be made illegal. Or at least come with some very strict warnings attached. It could be worse tho, it could have been kittens... *fears the very thought of it* (yet craves it like Charlie craves sayidheroin)
Also? Snap! I got season 2 of Carnivale this weekend as well. Hurrah! Haven't had time to watch it yet mind, but still, hurrah!
Ah, but there is that one picture of Viggo with a kitten! Should be kept under lock and key and a state of the art security system at all times. I think I have it somewhere, if you haven't seen it... but I, too, fear it.
'Tis the season, for the buying of trippy drama on dvd. :)
