Me too. In Wrexham, they were a common sight over our house (presumably to and from low level training in Snowdonia). Here in the Tamar Valley, we rarely see anything faster than a Hawk, but we do quite often see Chinooks and Hercs below us flying down the valley (never up the valley strangely).
I grew up on the border of Leicesteshire and Lincolnshire, so very handy for both bomber county and the TTTE at Cottesmore; and pretty handy for the harriers at Wittering, and even the Yanks in East Anglia. The result was that we got an awful lot of things over, from Provosts, Jet Provosts and Gnats to Vulcans, Shackletons and A10s.
