Tips for political parties

I occasionally post about politics, but almost never about party politics. This is because I am the sort of person who avoids conflict and argument and when you express a political view, someone is bound to disagree with you. Furthermore, they will often be unpleasant. I do not want this.

Greens

Like UKIP, you ain't going to form the next government. Your objective should be to make the next Parliament one that is more concerned about green issues. So like UKIP, concentrate your resources against candidates and sitting MPs who don't have the right views, or who take campaign donations from companies, pressure groups or unions with dodgy environmental records. Try to keep your nuttier members under wraps, and try really hard to get your more sensible, more electable, more presentable candidates on television. What I said for UKIP about spin also goes for the Greens. Don't forget that climate change is only one of many environmental issues. Be especially aware of local environmental issues and campaign hard on those. It's too late for this election, but a longer term strategy should be to infiltrate key charities and Quangoes like the National Trust and the Environment Agency.
