On My Mind This Wednesday

I dove headfirst into Netflix last night, watching all of Disc 1 of season 3 of Weeds, as well as half of Disc 1 of Square Pegs.

I accidentally semi-spoiled myself for the end of this season of Weeds (curse you, EW!), but I don't know what leads up to it, so I'm still enjoying the ride.

Square Pegs is hilarious. The actress that plays "nemesis"

Tracy Nelson - who played Jennifer DiNuccio - is Ricky Nelson's daughter, and two of her brothers are the band Nelson. (Remember the two guys with the astonishingly-well-shampooed long blond hair and the song 'Love and Affection'? Them.) And I think she ws supposed to be The Valley Girl.

I need to get that show. I'm sure it's painfully dated at this point, but what the hell. I can take it to a friend who thinks that Sarah Jessica Parker must have always played leggy, sexy women and use it to disabuse them of this notion.

I love it! And yeah, I remember Nelson. It's pretty obvious that she's the Valley Girl with all of the "likes" and "you knows," but it really does sound like she has a British accent on top of it!

SJP was also suitably awkward in Footloose.
