Consider yourself warned

For a variety of reasons, I am in a really lousy mood today. I forsee a really clean apartment when I get home from work. It's that kind of annoyed.

Anyhow, I wanted to talk TV.

Friday Night Lights--Last night's episode, specifically the final ten minutes, was some of the finest TV I have ever seen. Kyle Chandler deserves an Emmy for his ( Read more... )

now I really want to head home sick and watch FNL, I like how it take the whole ep to built to the point, you normally see it coming, but then it happen and it is still fresh and real, the show has a real quality to it. I can't put my finger on it.

S60 was very lame. amazingly so. I'm not saying it didn't have its moments, it did, but really. LAME.

I probably have overhyped it for you, but I thought last night's ep was brilliant. We'll discuss it once you've seen it.

I am convinced that I am only watching Studio 60 for Matthew Perry. I think that Aaron Sorkin is a full of shit, self important blowhard. I'm still mad about the whole FCC/Iraqi soldier subplot.

Which movie? Amazing Grace? Zero interest, so no. I'm going to go home and do a video, clean, make some pasta, and watch Thursday TV.

Sundance will not last. Neither will Antonella.

I'm hoping Antonella comes around--she's one of the more natural looking and low key people. Not everyone can be a diva.

I was wondering if J had the sickness from the restaurant that shall not be named.

S60 was in flashback episode mode already. That's like a second or third season gimmick.

That icon sums it up pretty much. I forgot that I am supposed to go to this happy hour tonight and I don't want to deal. Nor do I want to have to deal with the person organizing it when I tell her I'm not going.

J didn't mention stomach doom to me--just mentioned that she decided to hold off on the classes since she just finished up her dance ones. But we'll see her Saturday too.

As for the flashbacks, were there perms involved? S60 is doomed. I am intrigued by The Black Donnellys just for the cute angsty boy factor.

It wasn't Donnie Darko inmostlight February 16 2007, 00:55:33 UTC
It was Final Destination. Charlie's going to get killed when a coconut falls on his foot, causing him to jump around and break through into another undiscovered hatch, where he lands on a board that knocks over a shelf with a bowling ball. The bowling ball then rolls down the hallway and hits a broom which falls over, knocking a lever that initiates the self-destruct sequence. Charlie barely gets out of the way of the explosion and stumbles right into the open jaws of a polar bear.

That too. I was thinking more of--this is a loop of events that will repeat and repeat and repeat until someone gets crushed by a jet engine (so much for spoilers). But the FD comparison is a good one too.
