Ok, seriously. I understand it's a top-rated show and everything... But honestly now!
Taylor Hicks as hottest bachelor in the U.S.?
I'm appalled. APPALLED, I tell you! He may be many things, but he is not hot ( Read more... )

Who is your top 5?

Honestly, I don't know.
But none of these would be on my list. :p

I can't think of anyone (famous, which seems to be a prerequisite) at the moment that isn't married or otherwise betrothed... Ryan Phillippe, Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck (tho he's not that hot really), Matt Damon (same tho he makes a hawt Bourne), Matthew Fox...
I'd probably have picked some more obscure but well-gorgeous guys for my list. Ian Somerhalder maybe, or Channing Tatum... Hell, even JTT ffs compared with Taylor Hicks!

Dont you diss my JTT!!

I dont agree with Pitt and certainly not Affleck.

Ian Somerhalder is nice - i like that look. Like with Tom Welling

Hey, I always liked JTT, but he's not been a public figure in some time... I have no idea what he looks like these days. Pitt is still nice for his age i think, and yeah u have a point about affleck. mmmmmm Tom Welling... and gregory smith... and chad michael murray... and josh hartnett... and daniel letterle...

How would you rate the films compared to say, a 'normal' film fest? Do the LGBT films seel a bit less-than in production value or otherwise?

I've often been disappointed by gay-themed films that seem to never reach for the transcendence that film can offer.

They kinda exist in their own genre so I try not to compare them greatly. I largely go to see indie films rather than Hollywood films (I prob go to the cinema every couple of weeks) so they do not seem vastly different. Though often their unique selling point is the gayness rather than the storyline so they can be slightly weak, though it is rare to find a film which does not have any good points.

What are tour favourite 5 gay themed films?

I was never a huge huge fan of LGBT film fests. I don't know why. Although I did procure a large selection of LGBT films when I was at CMU.... so I actually had to sit and watch a lot of these (often disgusting and appalling) films...

Now, when are you visiting us? :(

You need to come to SoCal!

Then we need to do the cabin thing. Sion's turned me around on that when he mentioned the gratuitous uninterrupted alcohol that can be consumed in such an environment. And we bought a poker set :)

We spotted Matthew McConaughey yesterday in Santa Monica.

I actually have several to "add to the list" on my next entry.
