Congratulations! I hope you have a splendid time. The enormous consonance concom was very kind to me when I was their guest a few years ago. And the weather in the Bay Area in March is a splendid tonic for Canadian winter. :)

Congrats! I was Interfilk GOH for Consonance '99 and had a blast. So much so I made it back for 2001 (when I believe UT was GOH) and 2003.

I will note that a guest spot can in fact be bestowed primarily for excellence in songwriting, rather than for performance skills. For example, I'm pretty sure Kanef has been so honored a couple of times.

I understand that it isn't entirely a performance thing...luckily for me, *filk* isn't always about performance. :) Still, that's my default expectation until something like this happens to change it for a specific case.

Consonance have always been kind to me when I've been there (5 times now I think?) and were spectacularly accommodating when I was their Interfilk guest a few years back. Have a wonderful time!
