A TV 180

When "Grimm" and "Once Upon A Time" appeared on TV, I started watching both. I find it interesting to think about how they've changed, along with my reaction to them.

I haven't seen Grimm, but we watch Once Upon A Time here regularly. I actually like the back story for the characters, because I believe that most people believe that they are doing a "good" thing even when objective observers would disagree.

Although the number of members of the family is getting amusing.

I have to agree on the back story point because the flashbacks to how the characters interacted before Storybrooke were part of my original liking for the show. Perhaps I'm reacting more to the repetition of a formula...or the number of characters vying for point-of-view status...or something. :)

Grimm certainly has its good points. I particularly liked the episode that started out looking like demonic possession but turned out to be something quite different, bringing out various conflicts in the Grimm-Wesen world. (Even if its resolution was reminiscent of a bad Star Trek plot device.) I'm a little behind on it right now, but I'm planning to see the Christmas episode on Comcast Internet.

What they do with the German language can only be regarded as a running joke, though.

While I liked the early episodes of "Once Upon A Time" I could tell from the start that the show was intended to be a replacement for "Desperate Housewives" which was in it's last season when 1UAT started.
