Josh threw the paper down (disgusted). The words still burned into his retina.
Why? Why would one of their (his) own turn against them all?
He knew this hurt more than all the articles and editorials written to take a good man down.
How?
It was the title of the editorial (The Black Bartlet: A Posthumous Presidential Puppet?). It was the problems (and personal pain) it would cause Charlie. It was it was the discretion of their time in office (“Bartlet was a lair, too, we must remember”).
Still, the pain was sharpest because of the by-line (by Donnatella Moss).
