The man standing in the doorway looked something like Alan Eppes, except for the greenish skin and surly expression.
Colby titled his head to study the older man, “You okay, Pop?”
“Shuddup,” Alan muttered as he made his way to the refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of water.
“Are you sick, Dad,” Charlie asked as he laid a hand on his father’s shoulder.
Laughter from the door made them turn their attention from Alan. Millie stood there in Alan’s robe shaking her head and laughing slightly. Looking at the two younger, concerned men, she smirked, “He deserves no pity. He should have known better.”
“Better than what,” Charlie eyed his father.
Alan glared at Millie, “Shuddup.”
Millie merely laughed, “Better than to play a drinking game with Stan at 2 AM. Now that you two are up and he’s fairly awake and not going to choke on his own vomit, I’m going to take a nap.”
“We’re supposed to be at Larry and Megan’s at five,” Charlie called after her.
Alan winced and held his head, “Don’t scream, Charlie.”
“Got it,” Millie yelled as she headed up the stairs.
Alan moaned, “I hate that woman.”
The boys just laughed.
