Title: What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?

After all the ‘togetherness’ of Thanksgiving and Hanukkah and Christmas it was decided, in a completely unspoken way, that New Years would be spent a little less… ‘together.’
Megan and Larry didn’t want Alania to be up until midnight as her own natural sleep cycle was fairly erratic already. Her over active mind would sometimes completely prevent her from getting to sleep… needing to tap out rhythms and notes.
Alan had a standing invitation at Stan’s lavish New Year’s Eve Party. Millie was going with him. It felt like a fairly giant step to him. He was slightly nervous about spending New Years with someone… other than his Margaret.
Jamel had invited his team to a techno-rave that a friend was DJ-ing. Since the others had all politely declined, Colby, feeling a sense of duty to his teammate, had committed for Charlie and him… something he was greatly regretting.
Don had bought the champagne and Coop had found three champagne glasses someplace. Melinda had made the plans, a night at home just the three of them with the TV Land’s New Year’s marathon… it sounded perfect to them.
So, December 31, 2009 found four parts of one family celebrating… alone.
