Title: The Gift of Light
Pairing/Characters: Alan, Millie (I know, but I kinda like her even if she’s not coming back.)
Rating: K
Summary: Colby gave Alan a special gift
Word Count: 200
Spoilers: My Wormholes series
Notes/Warnings: *Shrug* I don’t know. Oh, yeah, you can see a picture of what I’m trying to describe here: http://www.jewishsource.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=163436&Cat=Holiday+%26+Ritual%2EMenorahs
Disclaimer: Not mine! It is on my Christmas list, but I don’t think Santa will talk Nick or Cheryl into it.

Millie ran a tentative hand over the cool metal of the Menorah. It stood about five feet tall and about a foot and an half wide. The steel of the branches was delicately curved and continued down in an elegant twist to the flat base. The tall, middle candle (Millie thought she had heard it called a shammash, but then she had heard that from Alania) was copper and ‘lightening bolt’ shaped. The candles were twelve inch silver tapers, seven of which they would light at sunset. Standing next to the Christmas tree it made a lovely and striking counterpoint.

“The boys did a nice job, didn’t they,” Alan asked as he moved into the room.

Millie nodded, “Yes, Don and Charlie did a lovely job.”

“Oh, no, not Donnie. Colby and Charlie did this. Actually, the Menorah is a gift from Colby. Last year when we decorated he felt bad that my Menorah was so overshadowed by the Christmas tree.” Alan straighten a candle, “It means so much to me that Colby would think of something like this. You know, he actually gave this to me for Father’s Day.”

Millie smiled at the incredibly soft look on his face.

Title: Undeliverable
Pairing/Characters: Colby, with a tiny side of Charlie and Alan and Colby’s Mom
Rating: K
Summary: Colby forgot something vaguely important
Word Count: 200
Spoilers: My Wormholes series
Notes/Warnings: Sigh, I run a apartment complex and I found it amazing how many times a year this very thing happens.
Disclaimer: Not mine! It is on my Christmas list, but I don’t think Santa will talk Nick or Cheryl into it.

The chirping of Colby’s cell phone caused Charlie to groan as Alan paused the DVD.

“If that is my brother, tell him to…”

“Charlie,” Alan’s warning voice interrupted Charlie.

Colby patted Charlie’s knee as he stood from his seat, “Don’t worry. It’s just my mom.” Heading for the kitchen, Colby flipped open his phone, “Hey, Mom.”

“Colby! Are you alright?”

“Nope, I’m half left,” Colby joked.

“Don’t be a smart-aleck, young man. I just got a call from your apartment complex telling me that they had your Christmas presents, but no forwarding address. Colby, when did you move?”

Colby groaned silently, “Oh, just a little while ago, Mom. Kinda forgot to tell ya.”

“Forgot to tell me?! Colby, this is something a mother should know! Where did you move?”

“Moved in with friends of mine. You know, just trying to cut costs.”

“Doesn’t the FBI pay you enough?”

Colby sighed as he opened a beer, “Of course, Mom, but sometimes it is nice to have people to come home to, too.”

The sigh from his mother nearly shook the phone, “Fine, Colby, could I at least have your new address?”

“Of course, Mom, and I’ll go get the presents tomorrow.”
