I have found frequent flyer miles to be increasingly useless over the last few years, you can never get the flight you want -- or any flight at all. I have a card that give me "World Points", meaning that once in a while I can get a store card, maybe $50 at Barnes&Noble or Staples or JCrew. So then I have all the fun of blowing the money.....

Though one thing I don't quite understand with American Airlines is why should I be charged for sharing miles -especially at the price they offer. Because for that price I can just buy a ticket for someone else. Pointless I tell you.
