Incredibly, MGOM, has replied to a former post of mine (see the last few posts in the thread) and corrected three instances of my misspellings! I can see from his latest post, that MGOM is concerned with grammatical issues, as well ( Read more... )

*I* don't care, and I'm "officially" supposed to, I guess. :) Besides, most online spellcheckers suck ass.

Who the bloody hell is this person, and where did they come from? Oh, wait - "Friends : None listed."

That about says it all, don't it. Apparently, this person created an account for the sole purpose of wandering about harassing people. How odd.

I found it a rather odd introduction and an unlikely way to make friends.

It also makes me somewhat self-conscious since my ability to spell seems to have degenerated with my pregnancy. (Yeah, that's my excuse.) I usually know how to spell a word if I think about it. But on LJ, I don't often think about it that hard.

Perhaps I'm guilty of practicing bad net hygiene. But no -- I would not obsess about your spelling and the correctness thereof, if I were you.

Bah. Who cares!

I got really self-conscious last year about my LJ grammar and spelling for a while, since (almost) everyone I associate with here is so literate and intelligent... and I finally started spelling "definitely" correctly as a result, because I knew "definately" was wrong but that was just how it always came out when I typed it. But then I realized everyone is pretty cool about the occasional misspellings and sundry errors and only really were peeved by blatant mutilation of the language or incomprehensibility.

But just because it is on topic, I'm going to spell check this comment. (I hate that the LJ spellchecker doesn't recognize contractions. Or some actual words. Lousy technology...)
