Comcast tech support

This evening our Comcast Cable Internet disappeared, and the problem (according to the modem's logs) was on their end. I call their generally-helpful tech support.

Tech: There doesn't seem to be an outage in your area... let me see if there are any notes on your account...

After the first time calling tech support, I declared the only way I would call them ever again would be because my computer was going to blow up some part of the world I actually liked unless I put in some special code that only their man in India knows!

Way to school the tech!

I've had similar luck with those people before.

I think my favourite was when they told me they wouldn't credit my account for an outage because I wouldn't shut down all my computers.
