I was told last night that I "teeter totter" between my commitment to science and my whole-hearted faith

Just curious...what do you "teeter totter" about in terms of your faith and science? I can't really think of anything science-related which contradicts faith, and that comes as a biochem major.

Yeah in my mind I think science is a direct relation to anything God has done with the world. But not everyone can see that connection......so I dunno what that kid was talking about. :P

Since free will is a God-given gift, I guess that does kinda put him in every action in a round-about way. However, when people submit to Satan and let him control them.. I don't think God has anything to do with that. I think that even when bad things happen due to free will, God still wants people to learn from those experiences and use that knowledge to become closer to Him.
