We went to see another specialist today, the chemotherapy one. They're offering her chemo, because of her age and general level of fitness. On average patients on chemo in her condition can expect to live between 2.5 to 3 years. Without it she would have about 6 months. Bit of a no-brainer really.

So now we know.

Whatever you decide to do, she's not average, she is well above average. And sometimes people get remission for years, with or without chemo. Everyone's different, aren't they. And how you feel is said to be very important, so doing things you like sounds good, as well as chemo or alternatives. You are probably one of her best medicines. Thinking of you both. And the offer of winter sun was a serious one, although we can't guarantee the weather.

My first reaction was "that's marvellous" - I was expecting something much much worse.
