recs from my last week as an asst manager at an independent glbt bookstore, cross-genre:
i am not myself these days, josh kilmer-purcell alternatives to sex, stephen mccauley desire lines, jack gantos the portable dorothy parker, marian meade, ed the manny files, christian burch the last masquerade, antonio orlando rodriguez misfortune, wesley stace veronica, mary gaitskill a seahorse year, stacey d'erasmo rose of no man's land, michelle tea the night watch, sarah waters america's boy, wade rouse fred in love, felice picano a dirty job, christopher moore what love means to you people, nancy-kay shapiro invasion of the dykes to watch out for, alison bechdel how i paid for college, marc acito
Candy by Kevin Brooks Things Left Unsaid: A novel in Poems by Stephanie Hemphill 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson Dark Angel by David Klass A Room in Lorelei Street by Mary E. Pearson (crappy ending but still a great book)
thats what i've read in the past week except Candy. there are others but believe me they are not worth mentioning since they are beyond boring and predictable. although you might like Kissing Vanessa (you said you like light and fluffy this is sort of extreme but its funny).
