Hi,

I`m new to the Philly area and I`m wondering where you would suggest living. I`m looking for a room mate situation right now off of Craigslist and there are so many areas! I am wanting to stay as close to the city as possible and heard Temple was unsafe. Suggestions?

south philly? i live around the italian market and i have no complaints about getting anywhere

That's a very general question. What is your price range? What will you be doing in the city? How close do you need to be for public transit or do you need somewhere to park a car easily? Each neighborhood has its pros and cons.

My personal picks is Northern Liberties.

It's got public transit easily accessible, Center City is walkable from there, and the rent is reasonably priced.
