My Day out...

Feb 13, 2008 18:19

By Pheonix aged 30 and 1 week and 6 days.

That would probably be funnier in blue crayon. *Shrugs*

So I've been off for a couple of weeks, Had some holiday left, thought I'd book it for around my B-day.

So the days passed by fairly averagely.

Ok so the first day was my B-Day, the second was the party and the third and forth where taken up be recovering from the Party ;).

The rest was fairly dull, I did get a lot of ironing done though.

Ok, so I decided to spend the last day of my holiday in London,, chill for a bit, catch and show and...

Oh Fuck it...

I Met PETER DAVISON!!!!!!!!!

Ahem.

So yeah the show I went to see was Spamalot, since I only had 3 weeks left in which to see PD in it, it was very much now or never.

I'm so glad I went, It's freaking Awesome. I'm not good with reviews, so I'll stick with awesome.

Ok, so the good bit.

I wondered to the Stage door, on my own, to wait.

There was no one else there, I mean there was people coming and going, but no other fangirls.
That was weird in itself, I've never done the stage door alone before, I've always had someone else with me.
Needless to say I had some serious Stomach squirmies.

So as I said, lots of people leaving, natch.

I was waiting for about 20 minutes, I've waited way longer in worse weather, so this was actually ok. When he did come out my brain literally had to kick me in the head and say, 'Yes it's him, say something'.

I can't remember if I said Hi, hello, hey or what. I do know I didn't shout, scream or otherwise make a tit of myself and freak him out.

Go me!

I did say, 'would you mind please?' and gave him my Ticket to sign, he of course said no problem.

He started to sign it on his hand, which didn't work so well, so I held up my goodie bag to lean on.

As he was signing I asked, "Could I trouble you for a photo?"
He of course said that it was no trouble at all, :), so I passed my camera over to the lady who was with him, no idea who she was, never asked, very pretty though and nice.

I had already turned the camera on for her and as she was lining it up she said she wasn't sure, how it worked, but very quickly figured it out.

She took the photo and as I thanked her she said;
"Oh hang on it's no good."
Peter asked her what she meant and she said that it had come out fuzzy and there was a light in it that made it look bad.

and then she said:
"I don't want you to be disappointed."

As I said above, I've no idea who she is, but for that statement alone I officially LOVE her.

So Peter and I looked around and we found a better angle.

When he was happy we posed again, I had my arm around him both times, as she took the second picture he Quipped to her:
"Now don't move until it's done."

I can still her his gravelly voice inches from my ear. Excuse me one moment...

*Melts into a happy, squirming, pile of fangirl goo.*

*Still gooey*

*Shakes self off*

Ok I'm back, where was I?

Oh yes, the second picture.

Went a treat, She was happy, so I was happy, very VERY happy.

As Peter handed me back my pen, *Happy place* HE touched my PEN! :D */Happy Place*, I said to him "Can I just.."

And I took his hand to shake it, *side note: For those of you interested in these things, he has lovely soft hands and a firm grip that has just right amount of pressure*.

This seemed to genuinely surprise him and he said;
"Oh, Thank you." in a voice that said 'Well that's a nice surprise''

I then Thanked him and his friend and they went of on their merry way.

I put all my stuff back together and was conscious to stay back a moment, as they happened to be going in my direction and I didn't want to look like I was following him.

Ask me to tell you the Eddie Izzard story sometime.
ETA: Some-one has asked, its Over here if you were interested. :)

As I was walking slowly back to the station, I noticed some Nice. Good. pretty. Seriously Fucking Hot Man Snogging!!
Oh yeah, I watched. I'd say they where late 20's early 30's, dressed nicely *Phe. They're gay, of course they were dressed nicely* in Black suits and they were really going for it, head holding, arms round each other, the lot. Was quite sweet really.
Ok Maybe watching them was a bit pervy, but I was still on my Post Peter high.

So after I was safely over the road and on my way, I phoned my Sister, but she didn't answer, so I phoned missjade29.

Rough outline of the convo:
MissJade: Hi sweetie, are you ok.
Me: yes I'm Ok, I'm Very very ok! :D
MJ: Oh Yeah?
Me: I just Met Peter Davison!
MJ: Really! Oh wow, How, Where? ^_^
Me: Stage door, I just waited.
MJ: Awww well done.

*Exchanged a few more squee's and pleasantries*

Me: Oh my station, I better go
MJ: Yeah I was just about to go to bed
ME/MJ: Night/Hugs/well done/Squee

Then I went home and posted to the_davison_den

So that's my Story.

Hope you enjoyed it.

The picture and sign ticket follow, just a quick note, I have this thing about posting my own face up, so please excuse the Pixelation, I thank you.

Firstly the Ticket:

Check out the Seat number!!

Now the first one, which actually isn't all that fuzzy, but she did have a point about the light:

and the Second one. It's actually a shame I'm shy, cos I look quite good, normally I end up looking goofy:

I now have this as my current wallpaper, Unpixelated natch. It's so weird looking at it. It gives me the squirmies all over again. :D

so there you have it.

My Boy-f now wants to see the show, I said we've got 2 weeks, as I have no interest in seeing Alan Dale in it.

If I do go, I shall take a copy of the pic for him to sign, and I will of course tell you all about it.

*HUGS to all*

P.S.

Could I be cheeky and ask someone with mad skills to Icon my pictures for me?

Thanks.
