For the why Twitter section, I could have ticked a few of those. :) I like using Twitter for brief comments on what's going on and just keeping up with people in general.

But people removing fic--that's always annoyed me. I tends to feel like, "I'm taking my toys and going home!" I think it's better to find a place for your fic to be archived if you want to shut down your LJ. There's old fic of mine that's not on my LJ or connected to me, but all of it (I think it's everything) is archived in at least one place.

I just thought, I should have made the why twitter a ticky box one! Oh well too late now ;) See I don't facebook particularly well, so I am not sure about twitter... but it looks fun! :)

Could people who wanted to find your old fic then, even though it is not connected to you? That seems a good idea.

I guess I was just thinking, there's some early fics I would happily re-do now, I don't mind it being there cause it's all learning and people enjoyed them, etc, but I get people wanting to take stuff down I guess.

Oh yeah, it's mainly XF fic, and it's in the appropriate XF archives. :) And I actually put some other random stuff up on ff.net, under amy old fic-writing name, just so it wouldn't be lost forever.

That sounds a good idea to me to keep it around, even if separate!

I don't care one way or the other about Twitter (I don't use it), but I hate when people post their tweets to LJ. If I wanted to read their tweets, I'd follow them on Twitter.

Also, I hate when people remove fic. Take your (generic) name off it, if you must, or put it in an archive if you can't keep up a site/LJ any more, but don't just remove it completely.

I like Twitter, but I also hate it when people ship their tweets to LJ.

I must say I do skip past all those twitter posts - I guess people want to keep an archive etc, but they never make much sense to me as a non twitterer.

It seems to me an archive etc is a good idea if people want to move on or shut their LJ or whatever - keeps it around and perhaps associated with relevant comms. I mean personally, I don't really care what people do, tis theirs to do with as they will, but I think it's nice to have old faves around still to read!

I love Twitter! :) I used to ship my tweets to LJ only because I wanted to archive my tweets. (I don't think there's really a good way to archive tweets except to send them somewhere else where you know it won't disappear.) I'm not sure I understand why it annoys people so much. Just don't read that post. lol!

Anyhoo, I also follow some celebs but find that most of them are ANNOYING. lol! Those I don't send to my phone. The ones I like get sent as SMS to my phone. ;)

Anyhoo, just my 2 cents. :)

I understand wanting to archive tweets in one place. Usually it's not even that I am not interested in people's twitter posts it's more than they don't necessarily make sense to me if you get me, if I haven't been following the conversation.

Hee that most celebs are annoying! that's partly why I want one - I wanna follow Ashton Kutcher and Stephen Fry (randomly!!)

I like to ramble, too, not just the celeb thing. With Twitterfox, I sometimes consider Twitter to be a constant chat party - which it can be.

Also? The fic thing? I figure if they're that much of an asshole, I don't want to read their shit again anyways. (even though, rationally, I do understand)

Hee I think everyday rambling would be fun. People might regret friending me as I may go and on hee. If I get one that is. Still can't decide!

I tend to follow entertainment bloggers on twitter the most, and as I am a total spoilerwhore, I get spoilers via twitter too. =)
