I can answer ONE question! Season Four should air September 4th. All I can think is, WHY NOT NOW PLEASE.
I loved the finale, it affected me in all the ways. I was grinning so hard when Sam and Dean sang in the Impala and I was teary-eyed right along with the boys when the clock struck twelve. But damn, if the end didn't leave me a little overwhelmed. 'Cause Dean is in Hell now, we even got a glimpse of his agony, and I'm frightened for him. Not to mention SAM.
Yeah. It's going to fuck him up in a MAJOR way, so even when Sam gets him out of Hell (and I am so curious as how/when this will happen), that'll just be the beginning, Sam will have to keep struggling help Dean, and there'll still be Lilith around and OH BOYS. I just want to HUG THEM.
If Dean was hallucinating, did the face he saw on Sam MEAN anything? Just a face or was he seeing the demon blood/powers in Sam?
I think no, the people who make deals start seeing things all around them and hearing the hounds for a while before their souls are collected in the original crossroads episode (title?)
Oh in...Crossroad Blues? Oh, thanks! I couldn't remember and I was all, are we supposed to read into that? (And excuse for a rewatch of Crossroad B I guess, hee!!) Thanks!
I really loveed it! Ive been reading alot of complaints about how it hasnt lived up to the previous seasons finales and honestly, I thought this one was amazing! I mean I expected Dean to go to hell but when it actually happend I was like "NO F******* WAY!"
I thought Jensen & Jared were amazing and really potrayed the right emotions with Dean being scared but still tough for Sam & Sam so determined to save Dean. Bobby was total love in this episode too, SO happy he joined them. And that whole car singing scene just made the episode even greater, it was awsome!
They went full out when Dean got ripped apart by the hellhounds and im really glad they did, it was a great mess of gore! lol while at the same time I was freaking out. OH GOD and Sam crying and then Dean in hell, I was left with my mouth wide open.
I enjoyed this just as much as previous season finales, most definitely. I too, expected the ending but still felt the punch of it when it came. And Bobby!!! Bobby stopping them leaving without him. he's so awesome.
Dean tells Sam they can't be martyrs for each other and make these deals - would he not do it again for Sam?This was actually one of my favourite things about this episode - the boys have *learned*. They've outsmarted Bela *and* Ruby (when I say 'they', perhaps I mean 'Dean'), and this was one of the things that grated with me earlier in the season, that they were consistently being out-thought by both. I don't mind Bela, for example, getting the better of them sometimes because she's good at what she does, but so are they. And so it was really good to see that Dean has learned that making deals with the other side can only end badly
( ... )
I was v. happy Dean learned making deals isn't necess good - although I have to say, if he were faced with this again, would he really let Sam die? As you say, when it came down to it...It's easy to say when it's him facing death/hell, not him facing Sam facing it....
The consensus above seems to be it's just a hellhound induced hallucination (though hee, thank you, I like the idea it meant more too!)
