RL has been whomping me lately, so I lowered by commitment... back down to the 100 words/day I did last time. But which I met. :D

But 100 words a day is good ;) I think that is good! I have said 150. EEP!!!
I am concerned cos am away for a weekend - does that mean I fail before I have begun!!

Not if you can get the Internets on your weekend! Coffee shop WiFi!
Last year I wrote heaps beyond 30x100 words, but most of my writing happens late at night, and sometimes the nodding off at the computer really comes on strong! :0

It's twelve months before Sam can bring himself to eat a cookie. Being on the road of course, he doesn't get much opportunity but then a small redcap infestation and a grateful little old lady means he's staring at a whole plate of them.
"What's wrong with you?" Dean demands. He'd taken his share and devoured them all already and was now eyeing the remaining ones. "Look, if you're not going to-" he starts to say and Sam waves him off.
"I'm going to," he says with determination because he won't let the demon take even this, the smallest of pleasures away from him. He reaches out and snags one, has it almost all the way to his mouth before his hand starts shaking badly. He sets it back on the plate.
Strangely, three days later, when they're rock-hard and unedible even by the most determined glutton, they are still all present and accounted for.
The plate and all is gone the next day when they are heading out, Dean making them disappear without comment.

Sam lifted his head and rubbed his eyes. He was finally satisfied with the closing paragraphs of his American History paper. He just needed do a final read through for mechanical editing, then he'd type up his changes and the paper would be ready to hand in in the morning.
Tipping his chair back, Sam absently picked up the peanut butter sandwich that had materialized by his elbow. He munched as he started rereading the introduction. Dean pushed a glass of juice closer knowing Sam would get to it before he was ready to turn the page.

Dean always picked restaurants where you would get the most food for your money and, once again, Sam found himself facing a smorgasboard spread out under heating lamps. Grease shone on the surface of the food and Sam wrinkled his nose in distaste. "Next time we eat, can't we just grab a sandwich or something?" Sam muttered to his brother. "Shut your cake hole, Sammy. Just fill your plate," Dean replied, plopping a scoop of mashed potatoes onto the dish in Sam's hands. Sam sighed and did as Dean told him. Back at the table, Sam's eyebrows rose in surprise, "You know," he said around a mouthful of food, "this stuff isn't half bad!"
Yay for general suckiness. But at least Sam ate!!
