I feel special

I met this group of college kids in Suzhou. It was my last day in china and I was wandering around an ancient garden when it started to rain. I hid in a pagoda in the middle of a lily pond and was watching the rain (very zen) when a group of chinese college kids ran into the pagoda too. ahhhhh, the joy and beauty of writing back and forth with a semi-English literate asian person. i go through this about once a month, with my uncle in Korea. you respond with:

your english was good!! i loved being in Suzhou -- it makes the US look very (insert appropriate adjective here). I miss being in China -- being back at school is very strange after spending all summer in China!! I miss you guys too -- write back!!

lots of exclamation points seem to work. that, and little words. apparently, my uncle has to spend like, hours looking up the words i use (and i don't use veyr many over like, 2 syllables). btu they get really excited, and htey practice hteir english. its a win-win situation!!

yo dude thats SWEET!... i'd just tell them about where you are from and try to do as much as you can in manderin(if thats right)... it'll be funny :-P
