Stories about your grandparents would make a really great series of creative somethings.
You never have to go "back" to being a scumfuck. Cain works as a busboy and has a bachelor's degree. I work two part-time jobs and just got a Master's. But you know what sets us apart? We don't act like those jobs define us. So what if we're working the same shit jobs as always? At least we're getting an education and, when we get off work, we don't go get smashed and do nothing, but instead do something. Create something, involve ourselves in something, find something fun and not wasteful. I've found that's the biggest difference between my life here and my life in Mobile.
That and the lower food tax.
You gonna do this! I've come across a lot of scholarships for both culinary school and undergraduates (especially non-traditional students). If you and Cleo are the first generation in your family to go to college, you qualify for even more. Check out the College Blue Book.
