I don't know if you can really compare S1 to S2, because S1 was soooo short and included the pilot which was the same script as the British version for the most part, and sort of sucks. But S2 is far superior, regardless. S1 has some cute and funny moments, but the show was just getting its sea legs, S2 has pretty much all of my favorite episodes, and it's gold from top to bottom.

I finally got around to watching S1 the other day and wasn't particularly impressed. So I thought I'd ask before bothering with S2. Thanks.

The Office is one of those shows like CSI or Veronica Mars, that I tell people to skip the first couple of eps instead of watching from the beginning at first, because the pilots are confusing later on or flat-out unimpressive. Some shows deliver great pilots and then never live up to that, and some are growers not show-ers. :)

Especially if the person was a fan of The Office UK, having them watch the US pilot at first is a surefire way to make them never watch again.
