Wow, this is BEAUTIFUL. I love the flashbacks and the surreal quality of it, and then when Cas returns everything is solid and real again, like sense has returned to life. So much love for this. <3

I loved the last scene. Beautiful.
But it always makes me sad if Cas turnes human.

I really really love the idea of Bobby having been the one to cut the symbol, because it makes perfect sense for Castiel to've taken them to California with his plan already in motion - and I admit, I like the idea of Sam and Dean not knowing quite how he'd gotten rid of the angels and finding out later what he'd done. Wonderful coda. :D

This. This. Is the story I wanted after 5.18. You wrote Dean's realization (he wanted Cas OMG) so well, and made Sam (and Bobby!) AWESOME. Plus Cas' line: “I made my choice to follow you. You don’t get to blame yourself for my decisions. Otherwise they aren't mine anymore.” struck me like a truck, because it's so true. And the end? I flailed. I shoved my cat away from my computer so I could lean in closer and not miss a word.

FANTASTIC.
