Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom. You have so much rant-worthy material. This has been bothering me for so long, that I've finally decided to say something about it. I also placed a copy of this rant on FF.net, so you might find it on the forums. XD It’s a rant about a certain Ship, or, rather, the OOC aspect that has been bred since its creation. Behold,

You bring up some excellent points. My only objection to "Monochrome" shipping as a name, is that it might get shortened to "Mono" shipping, and then I'd be looking for a fic where they fall for each other while recovering from Mono... What about "Dragon" shipping.

BTW, I have been following your HP crossover fic, I like good crossover's. Have you done others?

Trust me- the first thing I thought was "Hey, Dragonshipping would be a cool name!" Then I looked at the Official Shipping List of Yu-Gi-Oh! (it does exist, I swear), and 'Dragonshipping' is Yami Yuugi x Jounouchi (because Jounouchi let Yami keep his Red Eyes Black Dragon after he lost in in Battle City). So, yeah. I was disappointed. Monochrome was the best thing I could find, but if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. :D

:D Glad you liked my YGOHP. I'm currently working on and off on a YGO/NCIS crossover, but it's slow going. I have some other ideas, (maybe a YGO/X-Men Evolution, something like that) but I'll start on those only after I've got the JouKai and the YGO/NCIS stories finished.

YGO/NCIS sounds like an interesting idea. If you're looking for good crossover fic to read, Matt Morwell's "Evidence of Shadows" is a nice YGO/CSI crossover. And Vathara has done some excellent YGO/X-MEN and YGO/Sentinal stories. One thing with Vathara though, her stories were done before the AE arc was shown in the U.S. I think, so they are AU from Battle City on...

Just a bunch of people, I think, sat around and thought up different shipping names. Eventually, they were all gathered onto a list. Harry Potter ship names worked kinda like that- there was a forum, and they'd suggest a name. The most popular name would be the 'Official Name' and put on the list.

I've read both of those fics, but not the Sentinal ones, since I've never heard of the fandom before. They are really good. Kinda what inspired me to write my own. XD

I'd be willing to support the Monochromeshipping tag ^_^ If I had written a YGO fic in less than uncounted ages of course. ^_^;; I think it's a cool name. Or you could call it Chromeshipping - cause, you know, black + white = gray XD

I too absolutely love you YGO-HP crossover (I added it to my ff.net C2 The Gates of Infinity) - and the House-YGO cross. Are you gonna upload it to ff.net (when the login area functions again, that is)? I'd totally love to see more. But then, I'm greedy when it comes to good xovers, so don't take it that I'm hounding you. ^_^

Thanks! I'm glad you like my xovers. I definitely plan on putting the House-YGO one up on ff.net as soon as possible, and finishing chapter 18 for the YGOHP one. XD Don't worry about hounding me- I think, from time to time, each writer needs a bit of it. XD

Well said...I think Monochromeshipping is a good name but I don't really see it catching on in a massive level. The name 'puppyshippping' has got ten-year (House reference lol). The reason I love JouKai so much is for the same reasons you wish to call it Monochromeshipping, I love how they clash.
