The Legion that this Brainy is from seems rather narrowed in their idea of safety. It sounded like their biggest concern was keeping those without abilities safe. They obviously don't have Karate Kid on their team. He has absolutely no super powers except his own training in the martial arts.

Well, we look at how powerful the applicant is in general. We also look at if the potential Legionnaire could hold their own in a battle by themselves. Control is a great factor as well, abilities should be properly honed. Not to mention physical and mental stability. A good attitude is always a plus! ::warm smile::
