Characters: Dick Grayson, Ashitaka, Dean Winchester Where: Bar/Cafe When: Almost immediately following Mission One. Summary: Ashitaka and Dean had their little bonding moment, now it seems it is Dick's turn.
Bruce barked softly as he crouched down and wagged his tall with excitement as blue eyes looked up at Ashitaka from that black mask of fur, the kindness of the young prince was easy to sense for the sleek little shepard mix and he took to the man well. A moment later however the pup turned and walked at a good pace beside the prince as he led him down the long hall and into the cafe. It was empty of course since it was not the time for lunch or other meals except for once person busying himself with intently staring into a cup of hot tea

Ashitaka followed the dog obediently, quietly musing how backwards this situation was. However, Ashitaka almost always took animal messages to heart moreso than those of other humans. If this little creature had something important to show him, then he would follow without delay.
When they crested a small staircase and entered the 'bar' Ashitaka was a tad surprised. He had expected... well he wasn't at all sure what he expected. But it certainly wasn't the man that sat before him, staring down his steaming cup of tea. Ashitaka recognized him right away, then second guessed himself, the recognized him again when he turned to greet him. He nodded once. "Yes, ah... Dick ...Grayson?" he knew he was right but his words were hesitant. The dog 'Bruce' left his side and greeted Dick happily. Ashitaka wondered what exactly he had lead him here for, other than to show off his now clean-shaven master.
"Yes..didn't recognize me? I wanted to clear some things up from before but I couldn't find you two, I guess Bruce thought he'd find you for me" Dick laughed a little as he stood up to go towards the servitor to order Ashitaka something if he wanted something, it was rude to eat or drink in front of others without offering something to them also. " would you like something?"
Dick wanted to clear a lot of things up, most namingly the whole issue with the Joker. Things had happened in the other place he was that had caused everyone around him a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering, It was time to bring the issues out into the open and maybe find a few allies here if not friends.
"Oh no, I was just... you looked a little different is all..." Ashitaka looked embarrassed at not getting Dick pegged from the start. He was certainly recognizable now that he took a deliberate look at his face. He followed Dick over to the 'machine'. He somewhat remembered what Quatre had taught him about how to use it. He chose 'Coca-Cola' this time, deciding to try Dean's drink again.
He went over to where Dick had been sitting, Bruce looked quite content as he laid down on the floor near them. Ashitaka smiled at him as he sat down. Dick's expression had sobered towards the end of his greeting. Ashitaka was curious and a bit concerned for the other man, as to what he had to 'clear up'. "You had something to say?" his voice was gentle, in an attempt to ease whatever bad news Dick had.
From down the hall, Dick and Ashitaka might have heard some shuffling footsteps, followed by a few muttered curses of his choosing. Vampires...don't you just love 'em, thought Dean in sarcasm. Those things were fast, strong, and often liked to flaunt their strength against someone like Dean.
As he was trying to find someplace like an infirmary to bandage up all his cuts, he thought he heard voices. They were muffled but familiar.
So, he poked his head into the door of the bar...and there were Ash and Dick. Thank God Ash is alright. In a minute or so, he would get down to asking Ash on what happened when they split up--but for now his body was so damn sore, and the adrenaline from fighting vamps with Duo and Hilde was all done, leaving him exhausted.
He shuffled over to the bar and took a seat on one of the stools to rest.
" Dean? what happened to you, you look like hell?" Dick said as he spotted the Hunter and got up from his seat at one of the tables. Great Just when things start looking like they're going in the right direction they get a lunatic or two in the bunch.
" here take this..and this and there's more coming" Dick hopped the bar and pulled down a bottle of strong whiskey and poured the man a glass with a season bartenders skill before he turned around again and made him a bag of ice. Straight was the way to go right then when it came to times like these, best to leave the ice for the headache that came with a good wall bashing. " Hope you left the other bastard looking worse"
Oh he'd been there alright, and dean looked about just as bad as he'd looked when he'd really gotten into it on the streets of Bludhaven. The cuts and Bruises weren't fatal but from the looks of it Dean was going to be hurting for a few days. " I'll show you to Bones in a bit..Grumpy but he's a good doc"
Ashitaka's mouth fell open when his new friend shuffled through the door. "Dean." He was on his feet in an instant, rushing over to him. Dean didn't look mortally wounded, but his injuries were obvious painful, some looking to be rather lasting. "What happened to you?" his voice revealed all concern and worry. It wasn't that Ashitaka had failed to mask his emotions, he just wasn't one to really guard them in the first place.
He sat down next to the man and waited for a sign, Dick came and started to hand out a drink and then a pouch of ice. Ashitaka helped Dean place it, then looked onward a little helplessly. Even though he had not known the man long at all, this was already far out of character for the Dean he knew. This was a strong upstanding individual, not easily beaten. For him to return in such a state... it confirmed his bad feelings and Dick's warnings about 'The Ring'.
He muttered a "thanks" before taking a big sip of whiskey. After one whole glass, he'd feel at least a little better after this weird ass day; that is, if it would ever end. A second ticked by as he quirked at Dick, "Bones? That's a freakin' weird name for a doctor..."
For long stretch of a moment, he conveniently forgot to demand out of Ash where he had gone, followed by the tiniest lecture from himself on heavily disliking losing sight of people he cared about. The kid's concern shouldn't have taken Dean by surprise, but that did happen. For a moment, that level of worry kind of matched his brother's. Whenever Sammy worried over Dean about something, that tense but very concerned tone of voice would be heard.
For a second, he thought of bluffing and pulling out some believable story out of his ass. Dean could do it, he could pull it off...but he just wasn't feeling it, not really. He also didn't feel so up to sharing with Dick, but he had a hunch that the dude could take it

" No problem..His name is Leonard McCoy we just call him Bones" Dick grinned before he Pulled out a first aid Kit from his Pocket, since yes he always kept one with him just in case. Dean would probaly fight him doing so but Dick was going to try and patch the hunter up a little " If you didn't mind I could do that job just as well..."
" Vampires? Remind me not to beam myself to Transylvania" Dick chuckled before pouring the Hunter another drink. He was trying to get the other man at least a bit numb to the pain he was in without a large dose of painkiller.
Dean noticed the first aid kit, and nodded a thanks at the second drink. He picked up the glass, swigged, then almost slammed it back down onto the surface of the bar.
"Har har," he muttered dryly. Then corrected, "It wasn't Transylvania, by the way. It was someplace in England I think, in the twenties or thirties."
Not that he's ever actually been outside of the U.S., but he could tell from the bunch of crisp accents from mostly everyone that he was with the native British. Judging by how many antique automobiles looked somewhat shiny and new and running gave away the hint Duo, Hilde, and Dean had been sent back in time, of course no thanks to Computer Bitch

Ashitaka was completely unfamiliar with the term 'vampires' but just from seeing Dick's reaction, he could tell they were serious business. He looked more concerned for Dean's injuries now, and tried to assist Dick in patching him up.
"We have a doctor here?" this was good news if, in fact, this person was placed here like the rest of them. However, a thought dawned on Ashitaka, that maybe not everyone he met here was form another world. Maybe some people were from here... or have been here so long they might as well be. He wondered if not everyone they met in this place was on 'their side'. Perhaps the computer placed individuals already tainted with her views into The Ring...

Once again his voice sounded "Who did this?"
