"C'mon out Aero!" Red said as he through the pokeball into the air. He could let guy out to stretch his wings, and while he was at it, he opened the pokeball for Lax and Poli to run around in the balcony garden two floors below the top of the roof. He already spent time with Gyara in the Pool, but now, with the area, and having nothing really to do, he might as well just let them stretch their legs. Alright, finally!

With Pika already sitting on his shoulders, he let the final ball out, Saur emerging in a flash of light and letting out a throaty call.

"Saaaaaur..." he belted in greeting.

"Hello to you too, buddy. How about you soak up some of those sunrays, alright?"

[OOC: PS I think people can leave the complex, now, considering it's in newyork, anyway.]

Ben is slurping on his smoothie when a flying...thing soars up in front of him.

"Woah!"

He barely manages to save the smoothie from plummeting back down to Earth. However, some of it spills out. Look out, below!

[OOC: Really? Dang, I fail. Also, what is Aero exactly? I'm guessing it's an Aerodactyl?]

[ooc: It is an Aerodactyl, yep.]

"Aero! Stay close, okay?" Red called up to the flying pokemon as he flapped his wings, calling back, "Aero! Ro!" in return.

Ben gapes for a few seconds.

"A dinosaur?"

Without thinking, a wide smile crosses his face. Okay, it's a dinosaur. But it doesn't seem to be terrorizing anyone. Besides, dinosaurs are cool.

However, he hears something from down below (in addition to the weird call of the dino). He sets his drink down and leans over to see who yelled.

"Hello?!"

Guess who~! kara_of_steel November 19 2009, 20:53:38 UTC
Kara gave a sigh, raising her arms high above her head and leaning back to stretch. She didn't mind this place so much, but sometimes... it felt like there wasn't much to do. Besides the recent incident of zombies... Kara shuddered at the thought. That had been rather unpleasant. Shaking her mind clear of it, she took to the sky to see if she could spot anything interesting going on.

Upon reaching a certain height, something did catch her eye, and she grinned. Wasn't that the guy she'd met briefly in the cafe? Catching a glimpse of the smoothie in his hand, she needed no further confirmation. She soared on over, hovering in the air in front of him for a moment, hands upon her hips and a smile on her face.

"Heya! Mind if I join you? You look a little lonely up here all by yourself. You weren't gonna jump, were ya?"

Ben blinked, pausing in mid-slurp to see the superheroine fly up to him. He immediately brightened.

"Hi!" He lifted his smoothie in greeting. "Um..." He suddenly flushed pink. "Wow. I have no idea what your name is. I forgot to ask last time." He paused, suddenly remembering. "And I didn't tell you my name either. I'm Ben."

He motioned his hand beside himself. "Pull up a rooftop. And, nah, I wasn't planning to jump. I'm not totally brainless."

Besides, he could always turn into Jetray or Big Chill before he went splat.

Her grin widened at the friendly invitation and she nodded. "I'm Supergirl. Pleased to meet'cha again, Ben!"

She chuckled at his choice of words and drifted to seat herself beside him. "Ah, good. Ya never know, so I just thought I'd make sure. People can be unpredictable sometimes." She shrugged, kicking her red booted feet absently in the air.

"So what was on the menu today? More smoothies? I think someone's got a little obsession, huh?"

"Good to see you again, too! And don't worry. I don't plan on jumping anytime soon. It's kinda pointless, y'know?"

At the smoothie comment, he frowned. "You sound like my cousin. Besides, it's not like I'm eating loads of something bad for me, right?"

He took another sip. And he definitely was not pouting as Kevin or Gwen would've called it.

"So what've you been up to?"

In a few minutes, a rough looking older man steps into the room, making far too little noise for someone his size. He came up to the food replicators, looking over the screens and quickly deciding on something.

Snake was starving. He'd run out of his rations in the old base he was at before this place... he needed something and fast. The kid looked nonthreatening enough... but Snake had his eye on him for the entire duration of his food preparation. He said nothing but looked a little too tense for the scene.

Lips still circling the straw if not actually sucking on it, Ben turned his head to see the strange man after he'd already reached the replicators. He blinked in surprise. Okay, he could be oblivious, but one would've thought he would hear someone that big come in.

"Uh...hi?"

[[OOC: SNAAAAAAAKE! <3 Actually, Ben was on a roof, but I'm willing to change location for the awesomeness that is SNAKE! :3]]

"Hm." Snake was already biting into his sandwich as he turned swiftly and silently approached the boy. "So there's actually life here." he smirked to himself. This kid was perhaps a hostage or perhaps he lived here... Snake was mid-mission when he suddenly treaded into this place. He was walking... and suddenly the scenery changed. He was under the belief this was still a volatile military base loaded with nukes... but at the same time it was holding little evidence to support that. He stuck around to hear this kid's story. Maybe it would provide some useful hint to get him through this place or at least backtrack to where he was.

You playing Snake makes anything you do a win. You sooooo need an Otacon. 1plus10 November 29 2009, 01:54:12 UTC
"Yup." No, he was not a hostage. Did hostages usually act so casual about their captivity? La la la, ignoring Stockholm Syndrome, la la la. "Didn't you get the basic rundown from the pods?"

Everyone he'd met allegedly came through the same rude procedure that he had. Though some of them understood it a lot better than he had.
