Yeah, it was quite the omg... funnily enough I was so worried about being disconnected from everyone that I snapped into problem solving mode, didn't even give myself time to freak-out beside the idiot running I did back to Chopstix >_> My problem solving mode also had me going: Ok, go back, contact Cris online and ask her if she can track down Katka and recover her phone number... cause I thought I lost them all and how am I gonna find her without a number?
*clings*
No, and what's worst it's a stupid phone with a locking system that has it working only with UK sims. To unlock it I'll have to pay £20 more =_=
*hug* Now you have a phone and a spare, so I think you came out ahead.
It sounds like you were having a wonderful time before that nasty scare. I hope you can get back into that.
My mother spent half our vacation in Italy wandering around without a lens cap for her camera. She had to keep improvising covers, with little success.
I've done similar--thinking my cell phone was stolen when all the time (3 days!) it was laying in my grassy drive way. And somehow, I managed to never drive over it!
And, on the bright side, you now know you have an extra pocket in your bag.
If it's any consolation, last time I went back to Chicago I thought I'd lost my return ticket. My gracious hostess ferried me back and forth to the airport three times, and as she had two teens and two youngsters, that's quite the trip. We called the airport and waited through call-waiting twice. Tore up my friend's bedroom looking for the sucker. All to find that my return ticket was electronic, and my dad just hadn't thought to tell me that. Extra bonus when he yelled at me for causing all the stupid trouble.
So here's the part where I tell you what my hostess told me when I finally broke down crying: you're allowed to make mistakes. It's called human error for a reason -- it's not a sin, you didn't do anything evil or wrong. It's just an error, no worse than getting a math problem wrong. Don't beat yourself up, because no one decent is going to hold it against you. We've all been there, sweetie.
Do you still have the receipts? Maybe you can return the phone and sim card.
Aww, hon *hugs back* Thank you so very much. Fathers are wonderful that way, aren't they? I very wisely decided put everything in place and then call mom... cause as I predicted as soon as dad heard he was on the phone screaming bloody murder at me >_>
It is a sin though once I started thinking it was those 2 asian ladies... poor women had done nothing wrong and I cursed them left and right >_<
I have it but I seriously doubt that. Guy locked me in good, just think that to unlock the phone from being an only UK sim phone I'll have to pay the full price of the phone again >_>

Yeah, I really was. I felt blessed, like everything was going my way and then some.
Gah. We'll see how tomorrow goes I guess.
Ack! Was the lens safe at the end of the trip?
Thanks so much *hugs*

Look on the bright side, at least you didn't rush out to buy another not 2 hours later first thinking it was lost >_>;

*hugs*
