I like to think that when Vastra and Jenny met the Doctor again as well as showing them John's blog he told them about the time in his past/Sherlock's future that they fought off [insert alien here] and Sherlock was using one of Vastra's katanas. So she had to agree to send them to Sherlock even if she thought it was a very unwise idea!
