Wow. I hear you. Also, I have many times psychoanalyzed fictional characters. "The Practice" used to have as a recurring character a sexually promiscuous judge. She was around mid-50s, quite attractive and, among many others, enjoyed a fling with a sort of chubby, hapless lawyer in his 30s. I dunno, maybe you saw this. For some reason, that character fascinated me. Possibly it was the power she seemed to have, both in her job and over men. Interesting how we're drawn to what we do not or cannot have.

Yeah, the 'the grass is always greener' syndrome.

Feminine wiles are are one of my current fascinations since I rank low to non-existant on the Wiley-meter. :-)

First of all, let me say I love Sex and the City. But I've always wondered if the show didn't give the wrong message, it seems like on the surface there are these four successful women who don't need men, but then all the drama has to do with men. Go figure.

I wouldn't want to watch it on TBS; you're missing the hilarious sex scenes with Samantha!!

Yes, I figured that and language was what they had to cut. There was a very nice butt shot in yesterday's episodes, though! :-)

I don't like Sex and the City, but that is primarily because I cannot stand Sarah Jessica Parker. I'm sure she's a wonderful person, at least she better be if she managed to snare Ferris, but I can't stand her whiny voice ( ... )

Heels are great with the right outfit. They made me freakishly taller than some of my relatives this weekend. ;-)

Yes, but you wore them for intimidation purposes. Most women wear them because they're part of the 'uniform.' Not even because they LIKE them (which is also an acceptable reason.)
There's a difference between doing something because you enjoy it and doing something because it's expected of you, and as someone who's spent most of her life doing the latter, I can tell the difference. There's a subtle...joy that's missing when one does something out of obligation.
Now, if one enjoys being a skanky ho', or wearing 6-inch stilletoes, or [insert fetish here], go at it and enjoy it.
