I can sympathize with your current situation. After undergrad and before I started SLIS, I was unemployed twice. I tried to find a summer job (because I was supposed to do Fulbright in the fall) with no luck. Then, I decided to stay here, so I temped for a while. I did end up working at the same full-time temp job for 6 months. However, when it was over, I was unemployed again for 6 months before I got my part-time job at DPL ( ... )

Ugh, sorry to hear about the job situation. I'm right there with you! That part about your alma mater is just assy, I must say. Good luck, hang in there. I'm sure our "big breaks" will come soon (I hope).

Primal, the PS2 game I've just about beaten is kinda cathartic. There's a lot of strategy, but also some nice blood-splattering fights.
I do that with video games, yell at the characters and express great satisfaction when I beat them. It's a good way to let off some steam!

the TV in my room gets more than just ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox
I already watch too much, I don't need cable to keep my glued to my couch!

Sorry, SPK! No Game Night for me.
WHAT??? You're fired! Have a good time with your family. :)

I like the image of you "going to the Middle East and slapping people around." Hee!

And I'm glad you finally updated, although the job search sounds crappaliscious.

Yes, job hunting can be summed up in two words: asstastic and crappaliscious. Thanks for the new descriptors, SPK and Sh1mm3r! :-)
