I attended the funeral of another friend's parent today.

Those seem to be coming fast and furious lately. In the last 6 months, Brenda lost her mother, Karen lost her father, Doug lost his mother, and Pam lost both her parents. I understand Min, I truly do. It seems like just last month that my Mom and Dad were in charge, and I was just another member of the family.

But, Dad's been gone 15 years, and Mom, 13 months. I'm 68 all of a sudden.

It happens, and we have no control, over and above what we can do with each day as it comes upon us!
