Key threw himself back onto his bed and let out a loud sigh. After a long and hard battle, he was finally finished with his excruciating exams. He flipped open his cellphone to look at his old texts. They were all from Jonghyun. A smiled crept onto his face; he really couldn’t make it through without Jonghyun’s encouraging texts.

Jonghyun stared at the four words, particularly “call me!” He never thought about calling Key. Jonghyun stared at his phone until the screen turned black. Call Key… For one thing, he was a bit scared of calling Key. He didn’t know what to expect. How does he sound like? How does he speak? What will he think of my voice?

Jonghyun was scared that it’d be awkward, afraid that they wouldn’t be able to hold the conversation. He took a deep breathe, closed his eyes and pressed the send button. Key immediately picked up, but he was quiet.
“Hello?” Jonghyun whispered. He had no idea why he was whispering.
There was no reply from the other end, just quiet breathing.
Jonghyun opened his mouth to speak, but then closed it again. His breathing matched with Key's. They were both waiting, waiting for something. Jonghyun closed his eyes.
And now like a dream, my heart has gradually stopped by your side.
Without awakening for a single moment, I dream an endless dream.
And now like breathing, if you were to always rest by my side.
If you were to always remain this way…

Jonghyun opened his eyes and bit his lower lip, nervous about how Key would think of his singing. There was still no reply from Key. But Jonghyun could hear Key’s breathing change. He almost could picture Key on the other line smiling.
And that’s what Key was exactly doing. Crunched up on his bed, he was smiling and he couldn’t stop. He was breathless, taken away by Jonghyun’s angelic voice. Key never imagined Jonghyun to have such an amazing voice. He felt a bit relieved that Jonghyun didn’t sing to him in person - he might faint.
“Well…I hope you enjoyed it.” Jonghyun was a bit embarrassed. He wasn’t sure how Key felt, but he’s positive that he heard Key smile (even though you can’t hear smiles). Jonghyun was satisfied. “Goodnight and sweet dreams, Key.”
