I haven't listened to the soundtrack, and I'm not living in any continent that this show would be playing in the next year (not to mention I'm terrified of seeing this, especially now), but out of curiosity I wikipedia'd the musical and voila!

For those of you who haven't read it, here is the entire, detailed plot of Love Never DiesAll I did was ( Read more... )

Worst. Sequel. Ever. Way to completely ruin the story, ALW!

*sigh*

I went on an epic IRL rant about this yesterday. I'm starting to lose the energy to even care. Just make it go away.

I can live with how contrived it all is. However, what I want to know is why ALW had to kill off Christine in the end. Seriously. Poor Erik., :/ And, if he DID have to kill her, couldn't he have done it in a less...melodramatic way? Like... making her die of illness?

I can't even begin to point out what is wrong with this whole thing. Way to rape all the characters with a broom stick ALW. What and The and Fuck.

I confess when I first read the Wiki page about LND I was intensely cautious/skeptical about this musical. Then I heard snippets of some of the music and watched the official 'Til I Hear You Sing music video. That was enough to convince me to give the soundtrack a go. I am so glad I did. The music is utterly phenomenal. I've been listening to it non-stop for days now, and am making plans to go see the show when it eventually gets to Broadway.

People are entitled to their opinions, but I for one love this musical- especially the ending.

Can I ask what you love about Meg basically becoming a stripper and shooting Christine? :(

Hmm, first off I just really like how much character development Meg gets in LND. I mean, in PotO, her main line is 'He's here, the Phantom of the Opera!' As much as I love the original, she (and several of the other characters) were pretty two-dimensional. LND manages to flesh out the characters more and shows how people change over time ( ... )
