In my DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) group today, I was horrified to discover that the only other weekly group member is both racist and a homophobe.
We were supposed to be having a discussion about "nonjudgmental stance," but this other group member (I'll call her "Idiot") started saying that she's "really good" at being nonjudgmental, ( Read more... )

Alright, I'm about ready to slap a bitch right about now. This fills me with SO MUCH GODDAMN RAGE. If I were in your shoes, if I couldn't say anything or literally slap a ho, I would just fuckin' walk out and give her a taste of my figure while I'm at it. JUST. WHUT.

I actually did consider "excusing myself" from group, after all of this today. However, I knew damned well that it would be obvious that I was offended, and I'm genuinely afraid of pissing off the Idiot, because I know she has violent tendencies. Plus, I'm sure my therapist (the leader of the group) would have known why I wanted to leave (my therapist knows that I am bisexual, and she knows I'm not racist).

I just wish my therapist would have done something to make the Idiot shut her stupid mouth:-( I guess my therapist has to walk a fine line when she has clients of different mindsets in group, however. It really was awful:-(
