So, I finally got my first REU application in... three minutes before the deadline. Anyone sane would be asleep right now. Instead, I'm going to post about World of Warcraft.

I kind of love Jaina Proudmoore. She's doing all she can in a really bad situation- being Arthas' ex as well as good friends with the non-douchebag Warchief isn't a great political spot. She's really awesome. And if you want to help with WoW-related music, I have a fanmix I've been working on and I really could use help from more people who listen to more music. (And Taylor Swift is really hot. She's a good singer too, despite my not generally liking country.) My only real problem with Jaina is that she isn't doing much in WoW. I think this will change in the next expansion- sounds like the developers are going closer to all-out Alliance/Horde war, which will actually give Jaina something to do. If only to quell the douchebag contest between Varian Wrynn and Garrosh Hellscream ( ... )

Yes, definitely. And she was the de facto human leader while Varian was depressed and/or kidnapped, and doesn't seem to be getting a lot of credit for it, as far as I can tell. I've heard various rumors about plot to do with Theramore- hopefully she can be awesome about that. And yeah, from what I've seen it looks like she and Thrall are counterparts, as are Varian and Garrosh, which is a really interesting dynamic ( ... )

I'm not sure what the counterpart for clothie is for other things. Plate-wearer is commonly used to refer to warriors, paladins, and DK's, and I've heard plate DPS used also if you're one of those and not tanking ( ... )
