I read the Devil in the White City after a trip to Chicago - we took a rivercruise, and since it was all about architecture the book was lauded. I totally agree with you, it's a wonderful book.

I have the Andy Taylor book; my friend whiskeygirl8 gave it to mr for my birthday. Great literature it is not, and I would have liked greater detail on some things. But I didn't expect it to br very good, either.
