My main problem with Linnea Sinclair is that, though her books are fun page-turners, her heroes are WAY too much the cliched "alpha male" stereotype for my taste. I was hoping she'd gotten past that in "Accidental Goddess", but was disappointed. That's why I've decided to give her latest a miss, at least for the moment. Some of us females actually prefer the so-called "beta" males!

I didn't find that; excessive alpha-maleness is somethng I'm sensitive to. On the other hand, you and I have disagreed about such things before, so I'd say it's a personal preferences thing.

I do have to say that, as alpha males go, hers are pretty decent. They're not the horrible assholes that poorer writers depict.

And I suppose I like my share of the alpha males in fiction to- Miles Vorkisigan, for instance, and Peter Wimsey. *fans self*

Maybe I just don't care for handsome men! :D
