I must give Swordspoint another try. I picked it up when it was first published because of the Canty cover and found it difficult and boring -- I gave it away, and I almost never do that. I got another copy when it was reissued, but haven't had a chance to read it yet.

I did read it, and thought it OK. The plotting was excellent, but the characters and the city felt too abstract for my taste.

I'll get to it eventually, I guess. I found the reading list I drew up for myself earlier this summer, though, and now I'm embarking on something else.
