Rereading has been slowing me down. It looks like I only read 5 new books in July (only? The post that inspired this counting game stated that a study had shown the average american is considered "well-read" if s/he reads 6 books in a year; as my five in a month takes me up to 61 for the year, 16 of them non-fiction, I guess I'm well0read by that

So, 6 books out of the library every three weeks would make me, what, an alien intelligence?
6 books a Year? Wow. Okay, granted I don't have children or a full-time job, but even when I had a job I did a lot better than that.

It's a series in the same way that LOTR is a trilogy, really. It's more like one long, long, looooooooong book.
I just joined the Michelle West yahoogroup, and there's actually some discussion about this right now. Michelle herself suggested that one could pass the books along to Kay fans and say something like, "Here, you can read this while you're waiting for Guy to take the next five years writing his next one . . ."
