I disagree with the OOC comment of course. I don't see his reaction as naive as much as it is classic Reid not really realizing Neal is flirting, and then when he does, not really knowing how to react.
He isn't naive, necessarily, although I read a little bit of naivete into his character, due largely out of the fact that he is not the most socialized nerd in the world, and even with all of his knowledge about human behavior, he doesn't have a lot of experience.
Right, I totally agree with the not so socialized and experience part. He would studder and blush under Neal´s comments, specially since Spencer seems to like what he sees. What irked me a bit was the conversation at the elevator. Reid would understand the kiddnap comment, f.ex.
Please, don´t take this the wrong way, you see Reid one way and I see him another, and that is perfectly fine. I still want to read more of this pairing, preferable written by you....

Now I´m going to need more, more, more.... *g*
Love this pairing, and as always, you managed to make it believable.
Spencer is, to me, a bit OOC in the first part of the fic, he feels a bit too naive (if that makes sense) but he jumps right in at Neal´s door.
Of to read next part :)

Glad you liked it though.
