For the record, I have interacted with Real French People. To a man, they were uniformly racist towards darkies and WOGs, insufferably self-important, reeking of nicotine, and markedly ignorant of how French citizens actually fired on US airborne troops on D-Day.

More appropriately, fuck the French intelligentsia. The average French citizen, as I understand it, is fairly neutral on the United States, even friendly ... and there was a great outpouring sympathy from France after 9/11.
