So, bumper post of where I'm at.

- My name change went through and I am now much harder to stalk!

- Today we had sudden unexpected chocolate at work

- The US are trying to push treaty agreements that would strip countries of their ability to fight back against "evergreening" of patents. I have not heard a single fucking thing about this trade

I'm going to ignore most of that and focus on the happy-making stuff because ... I need happy-making right now. Hanyway - yay for sudden and unexpected chocolate at work. You guys sure deserve it :)

Second, I'm blown away that Tasmania of all places approved same-sex marriage. Delighted and excited, but blown away. Having lived there before I am surprised they made that choice, but good on them. Here's hoping a lot of other places follow suit including our country. We pride ourselves on forward thinkingness and giving women the vote first etc etc - this is something we should be alllllllllll over :D

lol the manager busted into the call centre room and tossed Sante bars at us and left again. We were like "whaaaaaa yay"

I wanna be able to get married, even if chances are seriously slim that I ever will. Civil unions are not the same, even aside from the slight difference in rights (main one being adoption).

Yeah, everyone should be able to marry someone of whatever sex/gender they want. Civil unions really don't stack up - we need proper, actual same-sex marriage.
