I was reading Soulless but then the quakes shook it somewhere and I haven't been able to find it in ages. Grrr. You've reminded me to go hunting it out again.

It's really cheap as ebook. I was prepared to pay more like $15 and got it just over $3! Which is good because working single four hour shifts three or four days a week on the other side of town gets pricy since they've kept increasing bus fares. Plus all the "holy shit we got our stock out of the cordon!" clearance sales where you can actually afford things but you have to do it right now, not exactly kind on the budget.

Yeah I've avoided all the cordon sales because I'm going to Australia in a few weeks and want to save money, but it's really hard not to go buy stuff, lol.

I should look into ebooks, but my ebook reader (aka ipod touch) is almost always with my husband and so I hardly ever get to read on it. Hmmmmmm.

I invested in a Kobo and love it. eInk is really nice (though obvs it doesn't have the functionality of an ipod or ipad if you want to do things other than reading). I expect I will ultimately save money since a lot of things are cheaper in eformat, plus it's a lot more portable.

That's the annoying thing about sales when you're poor though... well off people can stock up on things, or get better quality, or whatever, because they have more room in their budget! Not so much when you're living pay check to pay check.
